Job summary

The role involves granting physicians access to schedules and confirming case sequences the day before procedures to ensure smooth operations.

The scheduler will also handle anesthesia charges, audit nursing data, and contribute to process improvements for computer system conversions.

The Scheduler for Invasive Services provides active coordination of the department schedule for maximum effectiveness and efficient use of services. Provides schedule access to Physicians for their convenience and preference of time available or first come first serve bases. Calls Physicians the day before cases are scheduled to verify sequence preferred. Completes charges for Anesthesia. Audits records for completion of correct nursing data. Assists with development of processes for conversion to computer system(s).

Required Skills:

• Basic knowledge of services, procedures and equipment.

• Knowledge of human anatomy, procedure length and average case length for each physician to provide the best fit for all cases in the elective schedule.
