Job summary

Children's of Alabama in Birmingham is seeking a scheduling specialist for MRI imaging on the Day Shift (8:00 am - 4:30 pm). You will enter physician orders into the EPIC scheduling system and assign imaging exams to the most appropriate modality and level of care for patients at Benjamin Russell, McWane and Children’s South locations.

The role requires attention to detail, experience with hospital scheduling, and the ability to coordinate with imaging staff and physicians to ensure timely

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of an approved medical terminology course.
• Associate of Science degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule imaging exams per physician order into the EPIC scheduling system.
• Ensure exams are assigned to the most appropriate imaging modality and level of care.
• Coordinate with MRI staff and physicians to ensure timely patient care.
