Job Purpose and Overview

Under close alignment with their supply planning manager, the production scheduler is responsible for scheduling their assigned production lines to meet or exceed our customer service expectations for both order and quantity fill rates. This may include scheduling for multiple plants and may also require them to act as a material planner backup.

The scheduler takes into account each line’s thru-put capabilities and ensures the schedules created are attainable and do not exceed the line’s daily capacity. On a daily basis, they are responsible for working closely with the plant production, material planning, QA, and warehousing departments to ensure that throughout the plant’s supply chain, our customer needs are being met. The production scheduler establishes priorities for production when or if lines fall behind and prioritization is required. The production scheduler is also responsible for serving as the point of contact with customer service to quickly resolve service issues and communicate updates timely.

The hybrid schedule is 3 days per week at the Denver, CO Manufacturing site.

What will you do as a Scheduler II at Dawn Foods?

• Create and distribute the daily production schedule for their assigned production lines/plants in adherence to the scheduling guidelines and to meet our supply chain KPI’s.
• Measure the daily production attainment results at each line level, understand the implications, and consider the necessary changes to maintain our customer’s high service levels.
• Communicate and escalate any concerns of supply with your respective supply planning manager, customer service, plant production and GM.
• Work closely with material planning to ensure they have clear expectations and inventory availability to meet our material needs.
• Continuously look for improvement opportunities within one’s responsibilities and those that impact the supply chain results and drive to see these improvement opportunities implemented.
• Assist in creating best-in-class scheduling procedures & policies and act as a leader in this function by offering training or knowledge-sharing expertise, as needed.
• Demonstrate the Dawn values at all times and support the Circle of Excellence.

What Does It Take to be a Scheduler II at Dawn Foods?

Below are the minimum qualifications to be a fit for this job.

• Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management or related business degree is preferred.
• 5+ years in scheduling and/or material planning experience in a high-volume manufacturing facility.
• The ability to schedule multiple plants and lines.
• Must have operational knowledge of SAP, Excel, Word, & Microsoft Outlook and/or ability to learn these skills.
• Experience with Blue Yonder preferred.
• Specialized areas of expertise: APICS or related certification a plus.
• The ability to multi-task in high-pressure situations and to maintain a positive & caring attitude at all times.
• Requires strong organizational skills, is dedicated, and is a true team player.

Compensation Range:

$76,460 - $119,280 with a bonus incentive.
