Coordinates exam resources and accommodates requests for urgent exams with appropriate leads, technical staff, and radiologists as needed.POSITION QUALIFICATIONSEducation/Licensure/Certification: · High School Diploma or equivalent required.· Basic Medical Terminology required, or course completion within first year. Knowledge/Experience: · Knowledge of Coordination of Benefits, IPA’s, HMO, PPO, Authorizations including Medi-Cal TAR’s,Medi-Cal eligibility, Medicare Advance Beneficiary Notices, and Medicare Secondary Payerscreening required.· Two years of medical office referral, scheduling and/or billing experience required.· One year of medical imaging scheduling preferred.· Knowledge of computerized scheduling programs preferred.· Knowledge of how health care facilities and providers function and the differences in urgencylevels of patient acuity preferred.
