Job summary

Germantown Primary Care in Maryland is seeking an experienced Scheduler to support our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing. This role focuses on managing inboxes, scheduling tasks, and ensuring timely coordination across departments.

Responsibilities include handling inbound fax and email scheduling, voicemails, coverage during lunches and shortages, and assisting with insurance verification and pre-authorizations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Two years of medical scheduling, insurance coverage, or patient access experience.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written; bilingual a plus.

As a Scheduler you will:

• Monitor in-bound fax and email traffic following through with scheduling tasks such as booking various department as needed
• Retrieve Voicemails from Live Vox three times a day
• Function as a Scheduler during lunches and staffing shortages
• Assist Benefits Specialist with insurance verification and obtaining pre-authorizations as needed for cases booked greater than 48hrs. prior to appointment date and time.
• Assist Schedulers with insurance verification and obtaining pre-authorizations for cases booked less than 48hrs. prior to the appointment date and time.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications Include:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Two years of Medical Scheduling, Insurance Coverage and Benefits or Patient Access experience.
• Strong customer service skills, critical thinking and analytical skills, proven ability to communicate with others in a positive manner with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Bi-lingual a plus

Work Schedule:

• Employment Type: Full-time
• Hours per Week: 40 hrs/week
• Typical Daily Schedule: 8am-4:30pm Monday through Friday
• Shift Type: Day
• Weekend Requirements: None
• Holiday Requirements: Required Rotation/Follow company holiday calendar

Pay Range: $20.07 - $26.42 If the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.
