Job summary

PTAG, a leading Project Management Advisory & Services firm, seeks a Scheduler/Cost Controller in Pittsfield, MA. You will support scheduling, cost tracking, forecasting, and progress reporting across multiple projects.

  • Prepare regular and ad‑hoc reports including variance, trend, and EVM updates.
  • Assist with maintaining project controls systems, logs, and documentation.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Support project planning and control activities through scheduling, cost tracking, forecasting, and progress reporting for multiple projects and programs.
  • Develop, maintain, and update integrated project schedules, including look‑ahead planning, activity sequencing, and critical path tracking.
  • Monitor project budgets, expenditures, commitments, and forecasts to help ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
  • Prepare regular and ad‑hoc project reports, including cost analysis, variance reporting, trend analysis, and earned value management (EVM) updates.
  • Assist with maintaining project control systems, databases, change management logs, and progress measurement documentation.
  • Work closely with project managers and cross‑functional teams to reconcile financial and performance data and support project decision‑making.
  • Analyze schedule and cost performance against project baselines and help identify risks, delays, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support compliance with company policies, procedures, project controls standards, and reporting requirements.
  • Provide guidance and coordination support related to scheduling and cost control processes, tools, and best practices.
  • Assist with accounting and financial administration activities, including cost allocations, accruals, and journal entry support when required.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Project Controlling and 4 years of experience in Construction Project Scheduling required
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • CAPM or PMI‑SP Certificate or equivalent
  • SAP and Primavera experience required
  • MS Project experience required

Salary Range for Role $100,000 to $120,000

Compensation at PTAG varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience.
