Job summary

Tradewind Aviation is seeking a Scheduler in Oxford, CT to maximize fleet utilization and support the Sales team by verifying crew and aircraft availability to meet demand.

The Scheduler will ensure efficient use of resources in a rapidly changing environment. Expect weekend/holiday work and quarterly travel to Tradewind headquarters in Oxford, CT, with an 8pm–6am EST shift.

Qualifications

• 6+ months aviation scheduling experience.
• Experience in aviation scheduling software.
• FAA dispatch license preferred.
• Ability to handle frequent changes and stay composed.

Responsibilities

• Maximize fleet and schedule efficiency.
• Support Sales by checking crew and aircraft availability.
• Schedule new trips and coordinate changes.
• Monitor flights to avoid delays and manage interruptions.

About The Candidate / Role

Tradewind Aviation is looking for a Scheduler. The Scheduler's primary responsibility is to maximize the efficient utilization of Tradewind Aviation's entire fleet of aircraft. The Scheduler supports the Sales team by checking availability of crew and aircraft to meet demand. Once trips are booked, the Scheduler is responsible for continuously ensuring the most efficient use of resources to deliver top-level service to Tradewind Aviation's customers in a rapidly changing environment. Must be flexible with work schedule and able to work weekends and holidays. Also, must be able to travel quarterly to Tradewind headquarters in Oxford, CT.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a culture of total client service, focused on anticipating client needs and exceeding their expectations.
• Identify safety hazards and report to a supervisor or through the Safety Management System (SMS).
• Monitor current flights and ensure proceeding trips are not delayed.
• Handle schedule interruptions and notify applicable departments.
• Schedule new trips.
• Maximize the efficiency of crew and aircraft schedules.
• Ensure compliance with FARs and company policies.
• Provide trip availability to Sales.
• Coordinate trip changes with Client Services.
• Arrange schedule to fulfill maintenance needs.
• Assist with crew training.
• Build new scheduled service flights as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

• 6+ months aviation experience as an Aircraft Scheduler.
• Experience in aviation scheduling software.
• FAA dispatch license preferred.
• Problem solving skills.
• Ability to handle frequent changes.
• Capability to handle stressful situations in a professional manner.
• Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift 15 lbs. at times
