Job summary

USPI Foundation Surgical Hospital of San Antonio is seeking a motivated Scheduler to join our team. The role coordinates with physician offices and patients to ensure accurate and prompt scheduling of outpatient surgical procedures in Orthopedic and Spine services.

The Scheduler will strive to minimize patient wait times, educate patients and families about procedures, and support efficient clinical and financial operations within a busy ambulatory setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification required.
• One year of hospital or customer service experience.
• Cooperative attitude toward colleagues, patients and physicians.
• Ability to promote facility image with physicians, patients and public.
• Decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Imaging experience preferred.

USPI Foundation Surgical Hospital of San Antonio

is seeking a motivated Scheduler to join our team. We have 25 Beds and 8 OR rooms and 3 ER Rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Orthopedic, Spine.

Job Summary:

Responsible for coordinating with the physician offices and patients to ensure accurate, prompt and courteous scheduling of appointments. He/she will strive to minimize patient wait time in the department and will do his/her best to educate patients/families about procedures being performed. Demonstrates the primary goal of efficiently providing breast imaging services that exceed customer expectations and improve clinical and financial operations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED certification
• CPR Certification
• Proficient typing/ keyboarding skills
• One year of experience in a hospital or customer service setting
• Cooperative work attitude toward co-employees, management, patients, visitors, and physicians
• Ability to promote favorable facility image with physicians, patients, insurance companies, and general public
• Ability to make decisions and solve problems
• Preferred Imaging experience and knowledge
