Job summary

Edenbrook of Greenwood Hill, part of the Eden Senior Care network, is seeking a Scheduler to coordinate staffing for our skilled nursing facility. Hours 7a-3p or 8a-4p Mon-Fri, with one weekend every 12 weeks.

You will oversee staffing, liaise with agencies, screen candidates, and help orient new hires. The role requires 1 year SNF scheduler experience, knowledge of staffing ratios, and strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience as a scheduler within SNF setting.
• Experience with OnShift; knowledge of staffing ratios and PPD.
• Proven experience as a staffing coordinator or similar position.
• Experience in planning and execution of HR plans (onboarding, hiring etc.).
• Solid knowledge of relevant legal regulations (equal employment opportunity, relocation, laws, visa procedures etc.).
• Knowledge of staffing policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Reliable with a respect to confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all staffing needs and operations of the company
• Liaise with recruiting agencies to fill vacancies in a timely manner
• Support candidate screening and hiring processes
• Facilitate procedures after hiring regarding employee relocation, legal documents etc.
• Assist in the preparation and execution of orientation and training plans
• Develop work schedules by allocating employees in shifts and positions
• Assume responsibility for timekeeping and time-off requests
• Collaborate with payroll to ensure correct employee compensation
• Ensure compliance with internal and external policies and regulations
• Prepare and submit reports on staffing operations
• Utilizing computer software to prepare, change and update the master schedule
• Develops the daily 24-hour staffing sheet for the skilled nursing facility.
• Recruits nursing employees to fill staffing needs
• Reviews requests for paid time off (PTO) and vacation
• Fulfills staffing vacancies in advance to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts
• Keeps attendance records and assists with the progressive disciplinary process if staff members accrue excessive absences and/or tardies
