Job summary

Integrated Resources, Inc (IRI) seeks a Project Controls Consultant II / Project Scheduler in Pomona, CA for a hybrid arrangement. The role centers on developing and maintaining integrated project schedules using Primavera P6 for complex utility transmission and substation programs.

You will perform critical path analysis, schedule risk assessment, forecasting, and monthly reporting, coordinating with PMs, Engineering, Construction, and PMO to ensure schedule alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, Project Management, or related field.
• 5–7 years of hands-on Primavera P6 scheduling experience with advanced proficiency.
• Experience building and managing complex multi-disciplinary schedules in utility/transmission/substation environments.
• Strong CPM, schedule logic, sequencing, TIA, baseline management, and variance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrated master schedules (IMS) in Primavera P6.
• Build/update complex schedules from scratch using engineering inputs.
• Perform critical path analysis, schedule risk assessment, forecasting, and TIA.
• Manage baselines, updates, progress measurement, variance analysis, and recovery plans.
• Prepare monthly schedule reports on progress, delays, risks, and mitigations.
• Coordinate with PMs, Engineering, Construction, and PMO for alignment.
• Support EVM, progress reporting, and project controls standards.
• Identify schedule risks and propose mitigation strategies.

• Job Title: Project Controls Consultant II / Project Scheduler (Local candidate only)
• Job Location: Pomona, CA (Hybrid)
• Job Duration: 12+ Months (Possibility of Extension)
• Pay Rate: $50/Hr. on W2
• Shift: Monday – Friday
• Note: Mostly 2 days onsite but should be flexible to go onsite based on business needs to alter the onsite days.

Position Summary:

• Develop, maintain, and analyze integrated project schedules for complex utility transmission and substation programs using Primavera P6.
• Build schedules from scratch using engineering, procurement, and construction inputs while ensuring proper logic, sequencing, and schedule integration.
• Perform critical path analysis, schedule risk assessment, forecasting, time impact analysis, and recovery planning.
• Provide data-driven schedule insights, identify project risks and delays, and communicate mitigation strategies to Project Managers, Engineering, Construction, and PMO teams.
• Support project controls governance, schedule standards, earned value management, and monthly project reporting.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, Project Management, or a related field is required.
• Minimum 5-7 years of hands-on Primavera P6 scheduling experience, with advanced to expert-level proficiency.
• Proven experience building and managing complex, multi-disciplinary project schedules, preferably within utility, transmission, substation, engineering, or construction environments.
• Strong expertise in Critical Path Method (CPM), schedule logic and sequencing, Time Impact Analysis (TIA), baseline management, and variance analysis.
• Must be a hands-on P6 schedule builder with the ability to discuss managing a portfolio of projects in Primavera P6 during the interview.
