Marcella Post Acute in Hampton, VA is hiring a Staffing Coordinator to manage nursing schedules and ensure adequate staffing coverage across all units. This full-time role offers daily pay and a competitive hourly wage of $28–$32.

You will coordinate staff availability, post monthly schedules, and maintain accurate staffing records while building strong relationships with staff and nursing leadership to support smooth facility operations.

Qualifications

• Experience as Staffing Coordinator or Scheduler in healthcare.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to maintain staffing levels in a fast-paced facility.
• Experience managing staffing variances preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the center maintains appropriate staffing levels and adequate nursing coverage at all times.
• Complete monthly nursing schedules, coordinating staff requests to ensure proper unit coverage.
• Prepare, complete, and post work schedules and staffing sheets in a timely and accurate manner.
• Coordinate staffing variances and schedule changes with the Director of Nursing Services (DNS).
• Maintain accurate staffing records and ensure schedules align with operational and regulatory needs.
• Build strong working relationships with staff to support collaboration and staffing stability.
• Communicate schedule updates, changes, and staffing needs clearly and professionally.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support facility operations.

• Prior experience as a Staffing Coordinator, Scheduler, or Payroll support within a nursing center or healthcare setting required.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage complex scheduling needs.
• Ability to ensure appropriate staffing levels while balancing multiple priorities.
• Experience coordinating nursing schedules and managing staffing variances preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and gain staff support.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and attention to detail.
