The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, strong MS Office and scheduling software skills, and basic medical terminology knowledge. Prior scheduling experience and healthcare background are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates/schedules nursing, therapy, social work, chaplain, volunteer and aide assignments in an effective and timely manner; makes necessary changes to compensate for emergency situations and/or acutely ill patients.
  • Schedules client appointments/visits according to care plans and staff availability.
  • Proficiently uses clinical software to schedule all assignments.
  • Contacts care providers and clients regarding day-to-day changes.
  • Discerns client services required as outlined in agreements, urgent requests and care plans.
  • Maintains and creates various statistical and staffing records. Generates and submits reports as requested.
  • Performs general office duties including but not limited to word processing, photocopies, files, shreds, sort/distributes mail, provides reception and telephone services as needed.

Responsible for coordinating and maintaining the schedule for all professional and paraprofessional clinical staff assigned to clinical programs (home health, hospice and private duty).

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Preferred:
  • Prior scheduling experience.
  • Two years of experience, preferably in health care.
