Responsibilities

• Project Schedule Development: Create and maintain master project schedules from pre-construction through completion using Microsoft Project.
• Critical Path Management: Identify and monitor critical activities to prevent delays.
• Schedule Updates: Track progress daily/weekly/monthly including construction activities and milestones.
• Project Coordination: Align schedules with Project Managers, Superintendents, contractors, and engineering teams.
• Scheduling Logic: Develop activity sequencing, relationships, lead/lag times, and WBS.
• Delay Analysis: Conduct Time Impact Analyses and evaluate scheduling impacts from changes, delays, and change orders.
• Schedule Recovery: Develop mitigation strategies and recovery schedules.
• Progress Reporting: Prepare dashboards, EVM reports, S-curves, and scheduling updates for leadership.
• Resource Planning: Monitor labor, equipment, and materials availability.
• Look-Ahead Planning: Coordinate three-week look-ahead plans with field teams.

Position Overview

K&K Technical Group is seeking an experienced Schedule Manager to support manufacturing and construction-related projects at a major automotive manufacturing facility in San Antonio, Texas.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in project scheduling, Microsoft Project, critical path analysis, and construction project coordination. This individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining detailed project schedules, tracking progress, identifying potential delays, and coordinating with project teams to ensure milestones and deadlines are achieved.

This position requires someone who can manage complex schedules, communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders, and proactively address scheduling challenges.

Key Responsibilities

Project Schedule Development: Create and maintain detailed master project schedules from pre-construction through project completion using Microsoft Project.

Critical Path Management: Identify and monitor critical and near-critical activities to prevent project delays.

Schedule Updates: Track daily, weekly, and monthly progress, including construction activities, field productivity, and milestone completion.

Project Coordination: Work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, contractors, and engineering teams to align schedules and project priorities.

Scheduling Logic: Develop accurate activity sequencing, predecessor/successor relationships, lead and lag times, and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).

Delay Analysis: Conduct Time Impact Analyses (TIA) and evaluate scheduling impacts associated with scope changes, delays, and change orders.

Schedule Recovery: Develop mitigation strategies and recovery schedules to address potential project delays.

Progress Reporting: Prepare project dashboards, Earned Value Management (EVM) reports, S-curves, and scheduling updates for leadership.

Resource Planning: Monitor labor, equipment, and material availability to support project execution.

Look-Ahead Planning: Coordinate short-term schedules, including three-week look-ahead plans, with field teams and contractors.

Required Qualifications

Experience developing and managing detailed project schedules.

Proficiency with Microsoft Project (MS Project).

Strong understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling.

Knowledge of construction sequencing, project milestones, and scheduling dependencies.

Ability to coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and field personnel.

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to identify scheduling risks and recommend corrective actions.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting automotive manufacturing, industrial construction, or manufacturing facility projects.

Experience with project scheduling during equipment installation, facility expansion, or manufacturing upgrades.

Familiarity with Time Impact Analysis (TIA), Earned Value Management (EVM), and project performance dashboards.

Experience with labor and resource-loaded schedules.

Experience managing multiple contractors and overlapping project activities.

Work Arrangement: On-site

Standard Schedule: Monday through Friday
