Job summary

MAC.BID is seeking a Scanline Floater to prepare and position products for the scan team, and to remove scanned items, placing them away per our system. You will report to the Scan or Mobile Scan Team Lead and work on-site in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires standing for long periods, basic electronics testing, and accurate categorization of items. Competitive weekly pay and benefits follow 60 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 25 pounds solo, 50 pounds with team lift.
• On-site availability Monday through Friday, 8:00AM-4:30PM.
• Able to test electronics at a basic level and categorize products.
• Proficient with directions and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Inspect inbound products for defects.
• Categorize items as Like New, Open Box, or Damaged.
• Test electronics at a basic level to assess general condition.
• Move products to the conveyor for scanners to process.
• Remove scanned products from the scanning area quickly.
• Stock bays with items according to auction and lot number.
• Help the team meet quantity and quality goals.
• Sweep and remove trash from bays and mobile scan area.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

JOB TYPE AND CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time Hourly Non-Exempt

JOB OVERVIEW:

MAC.BID buys truckloads of customer returns and overstock products, then sells these items individually to the public through online auctions. The Scanline Floater prepares and positions products for the scan team, as well as removes scanned products and puts them away according to our system. This position reports to the Scan or Mobile Scan Team Lead.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspect inbound products for obvious defects


• Categorize each product as Like New, Open Box, or Damaged


• Test electronics at a basic level to assess general condition


• Move products to the conveyor for the scanners to process


• Remove the scanned product from the scanning area quickly


• Move products to the bays, putting them on the shelves according to auction and lot number


• Be responsible for helping the team meet quantity and quality goals


• Sweep and remove trash from empty bays and mobile scan area


• Perform other tasks as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Availability to work on-site Monday through Friday, 8:00AM-4:30PM, 8-hour shifts with a 30-minute lunch break


• Must be able to lift 25 pounds alone, 50 pounds with a team lift


• Must be tech-savvy


• Must be able to stand and walk for hours at a time


• Must be able to follow written directions and company policies


• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
