Job summary

MAC.BID is seeking a Scanline Floater to inspect inbound products, categorize condition, and prep items for the scan team. You will move products to conveyors, ensure shelving by auction and lot numbers, and help meet quality goals.

This on-site role requires lifting up to 25 lb solo (50 lb with help), standing and walking for long periods, and being tech-savvy. Schedules vary with 8-hour shifts and a 30-minute lunch.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work on-site, shifts may vary Monday through Saturday, 8-hour shifts with a 30-minute lunch, hours set by workload and management.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds alone, 50 pounds with a team lift.
• Must be tech-savvy and comfortable using basic scanning equipment and processes.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to follow written directions and company policies.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect inbound products for defects.
• Categorize products as Like New, Open Box, or Damaged.
• Test electronics at a basic level.
• Move products to the conveyor for the scanners to process.

JOB TYPE AND CLASSIFICATION:

Full-Time Hourly Non-Exempt

JOB OVERVIEW:

MAC.BID buys truckloads of customer returns and overstock products, then sells these items individually to the public through online auctions. The Scanline Floater prepares and positions products for the scan team, as well as removes scanned products and puts them away according to our system. This position reports to the Scan or Mobile Scan Team Lead.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspect inbound products for obvious defects
• Categorize each product as Like New, Open Box, or Damaged
• Test electronics at a basic level to assess general condition
• Move products to the conveyor for the scanners to process
• Remove the scanned product from the scanning area quickly
• Move products to the bays, putting them on the shelves according to auction and lot number
• Be responsible for helping the team meet quantity and quality goals
• Sweep and remove trash from empty bays and mobile scan area
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS:
