MAC.BID is seeking a Scanline Floater for on-site duties in Greenville, SC. You will inspect inbound items, categorize condition, and prepare products for scanning and auction processing.

The role emphasizes quick movement from inbound to scanning areas and accurate placement in bays. The position requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds with team assistance, and following written directions.

Qualifications

• Requires on-site availability and varied schedules (Mon-Sat).
• 8-hour shifts with a 30-minute lunch break.
• Must lift 25 lb, 50 lb with team lift.
• Must be able to stand and walk for hours.
• Must follow written directions and company policies.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect inbound products for defects.
• Categorize products as Like New, Open Box, or Damaged.
• Test electronics at a basic level to assess condition.
• Move products to conveyor for scanners to process.
• Remove scanned products from the area promptly.
• Place products in bays according to auction and lot numbers.
• Assist team in meeting quantity and quality goals.
• Sweep and remove trash from bays and scanning area.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

JOB TYPE AND CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time Hourly Non-Exempt

JOB OVERVIEW:

MAC.BID buys truckloads of customer returns and overstock products, then sells these items individually to the public through online auctions. The Scanline Floater prepares and positions products for the scan team, as well as removes scanned products and puts them away according to our system. This position reports to the Scan or Mobile Scan Team Lead.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspect inbound products for obvious defects
• Categorize each product as Like New, Open Box, or Damaged
• Test electronics at a basic level to assess general condition
• Move products to the conveyor for the scanners to process
• Remove the scanned product from the scanning area quickly
• Move products to the bays, putting them on the shelves according to auction and lot number
• Be responsible for helping the team meet quantity and quality goals
• Sweep and remove trash from empty bays and mobile scan area
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Availability to work on-site. Schedules may vary Monday through Saturday, depending on location, 8-hour shifts with a 30-minute lunch break, hours determined by workload and Management
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds alone, 50 pounds with a team lift
• Must be tech-savvy
• Must be able to stand and walk for hours at a time
• Must be able to follow written directions and company policies
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
