Job summary

GFL is seeking a disciplined Scale House Administrative Specialist in Ball Ground, GA. You will weigh in/out trucks at the landfill or transfer station, issue permits, and test scales to ensure accuracy.

You will also support the sales team, maintain client records, and handle routine billing and reporting. The role requires a high school diploma and 1–3 months of related experience; logistics environment experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1–3 months of related administrative, customer service, or office support experience preferred.
• Experience in a logistics, waste management, or industrial environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Scale House Operations: Weigh in and out all trucks entering the landfill or transfer station; set up new trucks, issue permits, test scales daily; verify waste disposal accuracy (grid reports).
• Sales Support: Provide administrative support to the sales team, prepare client proposals, maintain account records, and gather account details; assist with inquiries and quotes.
• Administrative & Billing Duties: Perform general office tasks; provide accurate billing information and generate routine reports; verify hauls and disposal for payment processing.
• Operations & Compliance: Dispatch instructions for special waste disposal; handle environmental compliance tasks; keep management informed of community feedback.
