Job summary

Render is hiring for a Scaled Programs Customer Engineering role. You will support high-growth accounts with programmatic, one-to-many engagement and help shape tools and content for the Field Engineering organization.

You will partner with Scaled Account Managers and report into Render's Field Engineering. The role emphasizes building scalable programs, documentation, and in-app guidance to reduce friction and accelerate adoption of AI-native solutions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a customer-facing technical role such as customer engineering, solutions engineering, or technical support.
• Ability to operate a high-volume, one-to-many motion and independently run programs.
• Solid fundamentals in cloud infrastructure including containers, deploys, autoscaling, networking, and CI/CD.
• Working knowledge of Postgres and database migration patterns (Heroku, AWS RDS).
• AI fluency and comfort advising customers building AI-native and LLM-powered applications.
• Strong written communication; expected to author docs, playbooks, and in-app content.
• Data-driven prioritization and context-seeking when ambiguity could affect outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Turn expansion and churn signals into scalable plays and in-app prompts.
• Onboard startups through Intercom checklists and guided flows.
• Create programs and content with Support Eng to reduce customer friction.
• Build components of scaled-engagement toolkit: in-app programs, triggers, calculators.
• Run webinars and cohort outreach in collaboration with Scaled AMs.
• Translate recurring questions into timely in-product guidance and self-service content.
• Maintain data hygiene so signals feed into Field Engineering and Product.
