Job summary

Americhem is seeking a Sr. Process Engineer to lead scale-up from lab to full production, ensuring readiness for new product introductions and robust processing instructions. The role oversees technicans and engineers, coordinating with Development and Manufacturing to optimize processes and launches.

Travel up to 30% across pilot lines and sites; strong leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving skills are essential to drive safe, reliable, and scalable manufacturing solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science or related field; Lean Six Sigma certification a plus.
• 10+ years in process engineering, scale-up, or manufacturing support in plastics/polymers; leadership of multi-site or cross-functional teams preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead scale-up activities from lab/pilot to full production, including raw material trials and quality control integration.
• Own the technical transfer of new products into production and document SOPs, batch sheets, and quality specs.
• Provide technical guidance for process parameters, control strategies, and startup plans across Development and Manufacturing.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, yield, and consistency across processes.
• Manage a team of engineers and technicians, fostering safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
