Job summary

Lucid Scientific, Inc. seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to assist with scale-up of its manufacturing. This on-site role reports to the VP of Operations and requires hands-on mechanical or electrical experience to diagnose, repair, and design improvements to devices and equipment.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, 1+ year in a related role, and strong problem-solving and organizational skills. Preferred: CAD/CAM, CNC milling, Python, and QMS familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• At least 1 year of experience in a related role.
• Hands-on mechanical or electrical experience.
• Self-starter with accountability and results orientation.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Preferred: CNC machining, CAD/CAM, especially milling.
• Preferred: Python coding.
• Preferred: ISO 9001/13485 or FDA QMS experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for manufacturing processes in production.
• Diagnose and repair failed devices and hardware; implement preventive improvements.
• Assist in design, prototyping, and testing of design improvements.
• Assess non-conformances and implement changes to prevent recurrence.
• Create and maintain SOPs for manufacturing processes.
• Drive continuous improvement of the manufacturing process.
