Job summary

Lucid Motors is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II for the General Assembly Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team in Phoenix, AZ. This role focuses on strengthening equipment procurement, integration, validation, and launch readiness across programs.

In the first year, you will own equipment projects from scope through validated handoff with emphasis on safety, documentation, and on-time delivery. The ideal candidate has a mechanical/industrial background and at least 6 years in manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a technical field such as Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering.
• 6 years of manufacturing engineering experience in assembly operations, equipment integration, production launch, or related environment.
• Experience with assembly processes, tooling, automation, equipment integration, and production-launch execution.
• Ability to read/write/speak English to perform duties including safety instructions and communications.
• Experience preparing technical documentation or RFQ inputs and supporting design reviews and handoffs.

Responsibilities

• Define equipment and tooling scopes, specs, and RFQ packages aligning safety, quality, cycle time, throughput, maintainability, timing, and cost before supplier award.
• Lead supplier alignment with Purchasing for proposals, commercial alignment, and on-time delivery.
• Lead equipment projects from design approval through build, FAT, shipment, installation, ramp-up, and acceptance.
• Develop schedules, budgets, risk registers, recovery plans, and escalation paths to keep launches on track.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to resolve technical and launch issues with clear ownership.
• Define acceptance criteria for safety, ergonomics, quality, cycle time, and maintainability before handoff.
• Deliver validated equipment, process docs, training inputs, spare-parts, and lessons learned.
