Job summary

Gerdau North America is seeking a detail-oriented Scale Operator to monitor and control vehicles, shipments, and containers using scale systems. You will document transactions and provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role requires accurate data entry, weights verification, and coordination with drivers and management. A high school diploma or GED is required, and familiarity with Microsoft Office is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED; college/tech training is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and basic data-entry skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities are essential.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and coordinate with drivers, carriers, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers professionally and direct loads appropriately.
• Accurately weigh inbound/outbound vehicles using scale systems.
• Process and maintain scale tickets, bills of lading, and related paperwork.
• Record supplier information, contract numbers, and load destinations.
• Maintain daily records of transactions and perform daily cash reconciliation.
• Answer incoming calls and maintain safe site procedures.
