Job summary

Reworld is seeking a Scale Operator to monitor truck traffic, document loads, and ensure safety and environmental compliance at our Newark facility. You will verify O&D forms, record data in internal systems, and communicate updates to teams while maintaining accurate scale tickets and a clean scale house.

The role requires a high school diploma, 1–3 years of admin/clerical experience, and strong organization and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of administrative, clerical, or accounting experience.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with records systems preferred.
• Bilingual skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Weigh and document all inbound and outbound truck loads.
• Review driver Origin & Destination (O&D) forms and verify load compliance.
• Enter load data into internal systems and maintain accurate scale tickets and records.
• Communicate tonnage and operation updates to internal teams.
• Enforce DEP regulations and site safety requirements, including PPE use.
• Maintain a clean and orderly scale house and perform routine walkdowns.
• Provide customer service to drivers, vendors, and the public.
• Report operational issues or irregularities to supervision.
• Support special projects and work additional hours as needed.
