Job summary

Reworld is seeking a Scale Operator in Newark to monitor truck traffic, record load data, and ensure safety and environmental compliance. You will weigh inbound/outbound loads, verify O&D forms, and enter data into internal systems.

The role involves communicating updates to teams, enforcing DEP regulations, and providing excellent service to drivers and vendors. Weekend shifts and overtime may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of administrative, clerical, or accounting experience.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with records systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Weigh and document all inbound and outbound truck loads.
• Review driver Origin & Destination (O&D) forms and verify load compliance.
• Enter load data into internal systems and maintain accurate scale tickets and records.
• Communicate tonnage and operation updates to internal teams.
• Enforce DEP regulations and site safety requirements, including PPE use.
• Maintain a clean and orderly scale house and perform routine walkdowns.
• Provide customer service to drivers, vendors, and the public.
• Report operational issues or irregularities to supervision.
• Support special projects and work additional hours as needed.
