Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Scale Operator to ensure timely and accurate tickets and to coordinate truck dispatch for maximum efficiency. The role involves handling ticket verification, COD transactions, and daily transmission of records to the main office.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, basic computer skills, and familiarity with hardware/software. We look for reliability, math ability, and willingness to support plant operations as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Required Training/Certifications: Weigh Master License may be required in some states.
• Required Technical Skills: Basic computer skills and understanding of hardware/software.
• Additional Requirements: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
• Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates truck dispatch to jobs with orders from Dispatch Office and operates computer to produce tickets.
• Verifies tickets for numbers, date and time accuracy.
• Collects COD money and records it.
• Sends transaction register and ticket copies to main office daily.
• Transfers all files and tickets transfer files at least twice daily.
• Answers phones and takes accurate messages for others in their absence.
• Tares trucks (empty weight) weekly and records tons sold by product.
• Maintains product knowledge to answer customer questions.
• Performs housekeeping duties to keep scale house clean and orderly.
• Assists Plant employees as required.
• Performs other administrative duties as assigned.
