Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Scale Operator to manage scale operations, assist with truck dispatch, and provide accurate customer service. You will process tickets, verify weights and times, and ensure compliance with DOT and safety policies in a fast-paced yard environment.

Responsibilities include data entry, deposits handling, daily reporting, and collaborative work with dispatch and plant teams. Prior scale experience is a plus; a high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• Accurate data entry skills required.
• Prior customer service/interaction; excellent communication skills.
• Good customer focus and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a team environment and pitch in when needed in other departments.
• Prior experience with scale work a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer support to internal and external customers; ensure COD orders are collected and properly documented.
• Prepare deposit bag in accordance with Company Policy.
• Ensure tickets are verified for numbers, dates and times; ensure trucks leave the yard properly loaded.
• Ensure safety, compliance, environment and DOT requirements are followed at all times.
• Coordinate truck dispatch to jobs with orders from Dispatch; operate computer to produce tickets.
• Send transaction register and ticket copies to main office daily.
• Answer phones and take accurate messages for others in their absence.
• Gain product knowledge to answer customer questions.
• Tares trucks (empty weight) weekly and record as appropriate; maintain records of tons sold by product.
• Assist plant employees as required; perform other administrative duties.
• Demonstrate commitment to health, safety and environmental policies.
