Job summary

Interstate Concrete & Asphalt Co. (Spokane Valley) is seeking a Scale Operator/Dispatcher to weigh trucks, assist customers, and handle cash transactions. The role supports a fast-paced, safety-conscious yard environment with training provided to succeed in a hands-on, team-driven setting.

You will operate the scale, monitor truck loads, and coordinate loading with the loader operator while maintaining accurate records and delivering top-notch service to customers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficiency of weighing trucks across scale.
• Monitor load sizes of company trucks.
• Service all customer pick-up business.
• Cash procedures: receive and log cash from COD sales and gravel tickets; balance cash box daily.
• Communicate with loader operator via two-way radio to load pickup customers.
• Greet and assist visitors; enforce site safety rules.
• Collect and sort aggregate order cards and delivery tickets.
• Enter delivery times from concrete tickets into the computer system.
