Job summary

Pratt Paper is seeking a Scale House Operator to manage truck traffic, accurately log inbound/outbound data, and monitor dock activity in a fast-paced recycling facility. You will coordinate with drivers, maintain scale house order, and support a 24/7 operation with 12-hour shifts when needed.

The role emphasizes precise data entry, strong communication, and the ability to work in a loud, high-energy environment while upholding safety and process standards.

Qualifications

• A post-secondary degree (Associate's, Bachelor's, or Technical School certification) is preferred, but equivalent experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Traffic Management: central coordinator for all truck traffic to keep inbound/outbound loads moving efficiently.
• Data & Logistics Gatekeeper: key in incoming load data, issue drop tickets, log details, and communicate release numbers and notifications.
• Operational Oversight: monitor dock availability using camera systems and coordinate with the yard to maintain flow.
• Team Communication: serve as radio contact for the Reject Yard and inform on operational issues.
• Scale House Stewardship: maintain an organized, fully stocked scale house environment.
