Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a Scaffold Builder Journeyman to construct, assemble, maintain and dismantle tubular scaffolding for industrial projects in the U.S. A minimum of 3 years of scaffolding experience is required, with fluency in English and strong safety awareness.

Responsibilities include selecting scaffold types, site inspections, and adhering to OSHA and company procedures while coordinating with the Operations Department.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of scaffolding experience.
• Education – High School diploma with a certification as a lubrication technician.
• Language Skills – read and speak fluent English.
• Must be able to read and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Determines type of scaffold needed.
• Inspects job site and all scaffold material for defects and safety hazards.
• Communicates safety hazards and mitigates hazards prior to construction of scaffolding.
• Transports tubular scaffold or other structural material and erects the scaffold to the required dimensions.
• Hoists scaffolding materials upward to erect temporary structure.
• Secures and levels locking sections of scaffolding material.
• SeCures scaffold to permanent structure for stability.
• Follows OSHA, site-specific and Austin Industrial requirements for erecting/navigation.
• Performs final inspection of completed scaffolding.
• Dismantles scaffolding when instructed.
• Inspects and stores scaffolding material after dismantling.
