Job summary

Austin Industrial is an employee-owned company delivering maintenance and scaffold services across the oil, gas, chemical and manufacturing sectors. We are seeking a Scaffold Builder Journeyman with a minimum of 3 years of scaffolding experience to assemble, inspect, and dismantle tubular scaffolding and temporary structures on industrial sites.

The role emphasizes safety, proper material handling, and adherence to site requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of scaffolding experience.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship.
• Ability to read and follow safety procedures and job instructions.

Responsibilities

• Determine scaffold type needed for the job.
• Inspect scaffold material and site for defects and hazards.
• Communicate safety hazards and mitigation strategies.
• Transport and erect scaffold to required dimensions.
• Hoist scaffold material and assemble temporary structures.
• Secure and level scaffold components and anchor to structures.
• Adhere to OSHA and site requirements for erection and navigation.
• Perform final scaffold inspection after assembly.
• Dismantle scaffolding and store materials properly after use.
• Support 1–5 scaffold builder helpers as directed by supervision.
