Job summary

The Brock Group Inc is seeking a Scaffold Builder for the CITGO - Lake Charles Refinery in Lake Charles, LA. The role involves building, demoing, staging and modifying components of scaffolding.

You will promote Brock’s safety culture, comply with specifications and safety requirements, and assist with material orders and safety paperwork while working at elevations and heavy lifting tasks.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass Brock and Safety Council Site Specific Orientation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist and 35 pounds from waist to above shoulder.
• Must be able to climb ladders, scaffolding and work at elevations over 100 feet with three-point contact.

Responsibilities

• Promote Brock’s Bsafe and Bbest culture in all aspects of the business
• Comply with manufacturer’s specifications
• Ensure they are following all Brock, Contractor’s, and governmental safety requirements
• Take direction from the supervisor Ability to identify the type of scaffolding material to be used for the job (frame, tube & clamp, system)
• Sort and organize material
• Place and receive orders for material
• Required to complete safety paperwork such as FLRA’s, Sharp Cards, etc.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
