Job summary

American Electric Power (AEP) in New Albany, OH or Tulsa, OK is seeking engineers and engineering technologists at SG6/SG7 levels to perform intermediate engineering work and project delivery, with emphasis on SCADA, RTU configurations, and process improvements.

The role requires reading electrical drawings, collaborating with supervisors, and applying engineering knowledge to safe, economical outcomes while advancing licenses and professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Passing FE examination encouraged for future PE licensure.
• Experience reading electrical drawings/schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform intermediate engineering work and projects under supervision.
• Identify process issues and propose solutions; support SCADA/RTU configurations.
• Ensure alarm and I/O settings for greenfield and brownfield projects.
• Coordinate with supervisors and other engineers.
