Job summary

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey is seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer to supervise the PS&C division staff in planning, scheduling, and directing asset maintenance, repairs, installations, and testing of critical SCADA and related systems.

Responsibilities include system integration across DWDM/SONET, PLCs, HMI, and security systems; field inspections; design reviews; and coordination of upgrades and documentation. Remote work up to one day per week may be available.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience with SCADA and related control system design & integration.
Minimum of 2 years’ supervisory experience in design, installation, integration, testing, and/or maintenance of control, computer, and/or communications-related systems

Responsibilities

Design, program and implement systems integration processes.
Oversee staff in preventive maintenance, repairs, testing and new installations.
Monitor performance, quality and safety of work; maintain records and direct testing/investigations.
Conduct field inspections and site investigations; investigate malfunctions and respond to audit recommendations.
Review design and construction submittals; plan upgrades and prepare estimates, schedules, reports.
