Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Limited in Chelsea, NY is seeking an Engineer to contribute to advanced Power Systems Application software development. You will work with Electric Utilities and ISOs/TSOs on specifications, design, coding, testing, integration and delivery of critical software.

Strong debugging, problem analysis and communication skills are essential. The role requires 5+ years with OS and programming, and familiarity with Oracle, GitHub, ClearCase and MS Office tools.

Qualifications

• Experience with Linux and Windows OS with 5 years minimum.
• Proficient in C, Java and Oracle Database; strong SQL and logs reading.
• Experience installing patches and third-party software.
• Hands-on with GitHub and ClearCase for version control.
• Experience with real-time or mission-critical systems.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve problems quickly.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver advanced Power Systems Application software for utilities.
