Job summary

Kinder Morgan is seeking a skilled operator to remotely monitor and control CO2 pipeline assets using SCADA systems, ensuring safe and compliant operations. The candidate will respond to abnormal conditions, manage pump schedules, and coordinate with field teams to maintain accurate nominations and efficient operation.

The role requires strong communication, analytical abilities, and the capacity to work in a 24x7x365 environment with rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to work in a team, take direction, and maintain schedules.
• Must complete Operator Qualification training and regulatory training.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control CO2 and Crude Oil pipelines using SCADA systems.
• Respond to abnormal conditions and emergencies per the plan.
• Communicate critical information to Field Operations and Management promptly.
• Monitor pressures, flow rates, and other SCADA data for leaks.
• Coordinate nominations with Field Operations and third-party operators.
• Ensure pump schedules and batch sizes are accurate and optimized.
• Maintain safe operations and be prepared to work non-traditional hours.
