Job summary

Village of Tequesta seeks a skilled SCADA/OT Systems Engineer to support the Water Treatment Plant, its VTScada environment, PLCs, HMIs, and related infrastructure. You will program, test, troubleshoot, and coordinate cybersecurity measures to ensure reliable, secure operations.

This role requires hands-on technical work, collaboration with IT and operations, participation in FAT/testing, and documentation. On-site at Tequesta, with a focus on lifecycle maintenance and improvements.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in a relevant field and hands-on experience in industrial control systems.
• Experience in SCADA/PLC programming, instrumentation, and process controls is required.
• Certification in OT/ICS or VTScada is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Administers and supports SCADA/OT environment for water treatment facilities.
• Develops, tests, and deploys PLC programs and HMI screens.
• Troubleshoots SCADA/OT failures, networks, and field devices.
• Maintains system documentation, backups, and change-management practices.
