Job summary

Village of Tequesta is seeking a skilled SCADA/OT Engineer to support the Water Treatment Plant and related facilities. You will program, maintain, troubleshoot, and secure SCADA/PLC/HMI systems, coordinate with IT and contractors, and support capital projects to ensure reliable water production.

Responsibilities include documentation, backups, testing, and training staff while collaborating with Operations, Engineering, and IT teams to improve system uptime and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 2+ years in industrial control systems or SCADA.
• Experience with water treatment facilities is preferred.
• Experience coordinating with contractors and vendors is favored.

Responsibilities

• Administers SCADA and process-control environment for water treatment facilities.
• Develops, tests, and deploys PLC programs and HMI screens.
• Troubleshoots SCADA software, PLCs, and OT equipment failures.
• Maintains OT network architecture and cybersecurity coordination with IT.
• Supports capital improvement projects and vendor coordination.
• Trains operators and staff on SCADA functionality and alarm handling.
• Responds to system failures and emergencies, including after-hours.
• Documents changes, maintains backups, and adheres to change-management practices.
