Job summary

City of Brighton in Colorado is seeking a SCADA/OT Administrator to own and maintain the city's isolated OT network and SCADA environment. The role covers Windows/OT servers, VMware, historian SQL databases, PLC networks, and security, with collaboration across Utilities, City IT, and vendors.

You will design, document, audit, and support SCADA operations, respond to after-hours incidents, participate in budgeting, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field; three years of SCADA/OT experience.
• Experience with Windows servers, VMWare, SQL, and network protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs).
• Ability to work independently and in teams; strong communication skills.
• Colorado residency required.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows servers, OT/SCADA servers, VMWare VMs, HMI workstations, historian systems, and related OT applications/devices.
• Manage Active Directory users, roles, permissions, authentication methods, and account reviews for SCADA/OT systems.
• Maintain TCP/IP, IPv4, DHCP, DNS, NAT, VPNs and related network services.
• Support SCADA software platforms, including HMI screens, tags, alarms, trends, historian connections, reporting functions, user access, licensing, updates, and vendor-supported modules.
• Participate in budgeting, licensing, and vendor coordination.
• Design and implement backup and disaster recovery for Windows servers, SCADA servers, historians, PLC programs, and network configurations.
• Coordinate with system integrators, engineers, contractors, vendors, and City IT during projects.
• Respond to after-hours SCADA/OT incidents.
