Job summary

Devon Energy Corp. seeks an Optimization Operator to monitor real-time SCADA data and collaborate with engineers, foremen and lease operators to optimize wells and reduce costs.

You will perform minor subsurface maintenance, conduct FBHP surveys, and ensure regulatory, environmental and safety compliance while driving efficiency and safety on the lease sites.

Exceptional problem-solving and data-analysis skills are required; 5+ years of relevant experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in E&P operations or lease operations.
• Experience in process optimization and equipment operations.
• Strong SCADA and data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes real-time data through SCADA monitoring to support decision-making and optimize processes.
• Collaborates with Engineers, DSC/PA, Foremen, and Lease Operators for wells and lease activities.
• Performs minor subsurface well maintenance (non-BOPE) and conducts dynamometer, fluid shots, and FBHP surveys as needed.
• Acts as SME in field operations, covering equipment and analysis tools and coordinating with teams.
• Maintains regulatory, environmental, and safety compliance with Operations Engineers and EH&S.
• Participates in training to enhance lease site operations and reports incidents promptly.
• Maintains a safe work environment by exercising stop-work authority when conditions are unsafe.
