Charles County Government is seeking a skilled SCADA Network Specialist to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair SCADA, RTU/FIU, PLC, HMI, and associated instrumentation across water and sewer facilities.

Work involves coordinating with IT for cybersecurity, following safety standards, and supporting field technicians with training and mentoring. This is a full-time, on-site role in Maryland.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in electrical engineering technology, electronics, industrial automation, instrumentation, or related field, plus five years of SCADA/ICS experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Safety-sensitive position with random drug and alcohol screening; on-call during emergencies.

Responsabilités

• Perform preventive & corrective maintenance and troubleshooting of SCADA and related systems across facilities.
• Diagnose and repair SCADA equipment, PLCs, HMIs, RTUs, FIUs, and network components.
• Ensure proper functioning of process controllers and update control logic parameters as needed.
• Install, configure, and maintain SCADA network components and communications links.
• Collaborate with IT to address cybersecurity and physical threats.
• Provide training and mentorship to Operations Instrumentation Technicians.
