Job summary

Sweetwater Authority seeks an Instrument & Control Technician II or III to maintain and calibrate a wide range of electrical and control systems tied to water treatment and distribution. The role involves PLC/RTU work, SCADA wiring, and on-site instrument calibration under supervision.

The position requires 2 years of technical training and 3 years of related experience, plus a California driver's license. Candidates will test, troubleshoot, and repair equipment while on-call for emergencies.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical/electronics maintenance, preferably in water facilities.
• Knowledge of PLC/RTU and instrumentation.
• Valid California driver license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, calibration, and repair of electrical/electronic control systems and related equipment in water treatment and distribution.
• Inspect, test, and maintain gas detectors and instrumentation in accordance with OEM specs.
• Respond to emergencies on an on-call basis and coordinate with supervisory staff.
