Job summary

City of Aurora Water seeks a SCADA Instrumentation Lead to QA/QC water/wastewater projects, guide I&C technicians, and ensure reliable electrical/instrumentation systems. The role includes mentoring staff, reviewing instrumentation plans, and supporting FAT/SAT testing.

The person will collaborate with Project Delivery Services and may act as supervisor in their absence, while promoting core values of integrity, respect, professionalism, and customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Four years of instrumentation experience in electrical power systems, instrumentation, and control equipment.
• Licenses: Colorado Driver’s License; ISA CCST certification to be obtained within six months of first ISA testing window.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation, troubleshooting, calibration, and maintenance of electrical power systems and instrumentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and automation.
• Assist supervisor with budgeting, training, and performance planning.
• Schedule testing for electrical and instrumentation equipment.
• Mentor I&C staff and provide training as needed.
• Ensure reliability of SCADA-related equipment and systems.
