Job summary

Howard Energy Partners is seeking a Gas Controller to monitor and control the pipeline network from the control room. You will operate SCADA systems, adjust flow rates, and coordinate responses to alarms to ensure continuous transportation of natural gas and liquids.

The role requires adherence to PHMSA regulations, accurate record-keeping, and collaboration with I&E and field teams. Levels I–III reflect increasing autonomy and leadership responsibilities in a 24/7 shift environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient with SCADA and gas control operations.
• Understanding of gas flow management and safety protocols.
• Knowledge of PHMSA regulations and company procedures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor pipeline integrity and respond to alarms via SCADA.
• Coordinate emergency response and notify internal/external contacts.
• Ensure uninterrupted transportation of natural gas and liquids.
• Set flow rates and remotely operate control valves to meet nominations.
• Collaborate with field teams to troubleshoot operational issues.
• Maintain documentation including logs and event records.
