Job summary

PURVIS Systems is seeking a SCADA Field Service Technician to install, repair, and maintain video surveillance and access control systems at client sites across New York City. You will troubleshoot devices, install software/hardware, and ensure systems operate reliably on site.

The role involves traveling to various NYC locations, using hand tools and test equipment, and performing cabling tasks. Candidates should have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lift and climb as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years work-related experience.
• Familiar with cameras and desktop environments.
• Knowledge of simple networking and Windows OS.
• Valid driver's license.
• Able to use hand tools and electronic test equipment.
• Some heavy lifting from time-to-time is required.
• Position requires climbing and using ladders.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• No sponsorship is available.

Responsibilities

PURVIS Systems has an opening for a SCADA Field Service Technician. We are looking for a tech-minded individual to be responsible for providing installation, technical maintenance and repair of video surveillance systems (cameras and peripherals) and access control systems (card readers, intercoms and peripherals). The SCADA Field Service Technician is part of a team that provides critical operations and reports to various work sites throughout New York City.

The day-to-day responsibilities of this role include:

• Installation, repair and maintenance of all aspects of video surveillance and access control systems and peripherals
• Must be able to troubleshoot video surveillance and access control systems to the device level
