Job summary

Saint Cyr Partners in Denver seeks a SCADA Engineer to support OT systems across gas, solar and wind assets. You will design, maintain Ignition SCADA, manage OT equipment, and collaborate with IT and operations to ensure reliable data flows and regulatory compliance.

Career requires a bachelor’s degree and 3–6 years of experience, expert Ignition and AVEA PI, renewables/gas knowledge, and scripting with Python. Ignition certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; 3–6 years of experience may substitute for the degree.
• Expert level proficiency in Ignition and AVEA PI is mandatory.
• Experience with Renewable and Gas power systems.
• Familiarity with OT equipment such as SCADA, RTU, PI data historians, OPC, Modbus, etc.
• Ignition certification is preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with scripting languages; Python preferred.
• Knowledge of power plant components/operations, especially renewables.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Self-starter with ability to make decisions independently.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills; able to multi-task.
• Ability to work well independently and in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Ignition SCADA System, including Gateways, screens, alarms, historian and integration.
• Manage OT SCADA equipment, servers, and device configurations; keep systems up to date.
• Develop data flows and displays in Ignition Perspective for analytics and visualization of Operational Data.
• Troubleshoot connections between OT equipment (controls, RIG, RTU, data loggers).
• Maintain data connections between Remote Operations Center, data servers and OEM SCADA/RTU/OPC servers.
• Coordinate with IT as primary contact for plant operations.
• Provide NERC CIP guidance to ensure asset compliance.
• Support SCADA lifecycle refresh and internal AI initiatives.
