Job summary

Ashton North LLC is seeking a SCADA Engineer to support OT equipment and data flows across gas, solar, and wind assets. You will maintain Ignition-based systems, develop analytics displays, and ensure reliability in control and data networks.

The role requires Ignition and AVEA PI expertise, experience with OT devices and data historians, plus strong analytical and communication skills. A valid U.S. driver license is required and a collaborative, cross-functional team mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 3–6 years of experience or equivalent.
• Expert level Ignition and AVEA PI mandatory.
• Experience with Renewable and Gas power systems.
• Familiar with OT equipment: SCADA, RTU, PI Historian, SEL-RTAC, DNP, OPC, Modbus.
• Ignition certification preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Scripting with Python preferred.
• Knowledge of power plant components; renewable projects experience.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
• Self-starter with independent decision-making and multitasking.
• Valid U.S. Driver license with acceptable MVR.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Ignition SCADA system: gateways, screens, alarms, historian, integration.
• Manage OT SCADA equipment, servers, and configurations; keep systems up to date.
• Develop data flows and displays in Ignition Perspective for advanced analytics.
• Troubleshoot and maintain connections among OT devices and SCADA components.
• Coordinate with IT as primary operations contact.
• Provide NERC CIP guidance to ensure compliance.
• Support SCADA lifecycle refresh and internal AI initiatives.
