Job summary

Horan Hiring Solutions, LLC is seeking a SCADA Engineer to support OT equipment and data flows across gas, solar and wind assets. You will work with site managers and engineering teams to ensure reliability of control and data systems.

The role requires strong Ignition/AVEA PI expertise, familiarity with OT SCADA hardware, and experience with renewable power projects. A driver license is required for site operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 3–6 years of experience, degree may be substituted.
• Expert level in Inductive Automation Ignition is mandatory.
• Experience with renewable and gas power systems.
• Familiar with OT equipment like SCADA, RTU, PI data historians, OPC, DNP, Modbus.
• Ignition certification is preferred.
• Strong scripting in Python is required.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Ignition SCADA System: gateways, screens, alarms, historian, integration.
• Manage OT SCADA equipment, servers, and device configurations.
• Develop data flows and displays in Ignition Perspective for analytics and visualization.
• Troubleshoot connections between OT equipment and controls systems.
• Maintain data connections to OT and data center systems, OEM SCADA, RTU, OPC servers.
• Coordinate with IT as the primary contact for plant operations.
• Provide NERC CIP guidance to ensure asset compliance.
• Support SCADA lifecycle refresh and internal AI initiatives.
