Job summary

The City of Hendersonville is seeking an Instrumentation & Electrical Technician to maintain SCADA and electrical systems across water and wastewater facilities, pumping stations, and related sites.

You will troubleshoot, calibrate instruments, review schematics, and coordinate with contractors to ensure reliable service. Knowledge of NC Electrical Code and relevant certifications is required or obtainable within 18 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency with some coursework in electrical, electronics and programming.
• Associate degree or 4+ years of hands-on instrumentation and electrical experience preferred.
• Possession of NC Grade certifications or ability to obtain within 18 months; validity as required.

Responsibilities

• Installs, troubleshoots, maintains and repairs SCADA equipment and field devices.
• Maintains and repairs electrical system components at water and sewer facilities.
• Oversees contract electricians, system integrators, and technicians in installing and maintaining SCADA systems.
