Prysmian is seeking an Automation Engineer to own the reliability and evolution of our plant’s automation, control systems, and SCADA stack. You’ll translate machine behavior into insights that accelerate decisions, strengthen uptime, and pave the way for smarter processes.

You will lead HMIs, PLC/SCADA integration, and data-driven improvements across safety, quality, and throughput; candidates should have hands-on experience on the plant floor and a strong safety mindset.

Competenze

• BS in Electrical/Controls/Automation Engineering or related discipline.
• 3+ years of manufacturing controls experience.
• Proficiency with Allen-Bradley ControlLogix/CompactLogix and Studio 5000; Ethernet/IP.
• HMI development/troubleshooting with FactoryTalk View, InTouch, Ignition, or similar.
• Industrial networking fundamentals: IP addressing, managed switches, VLANs, and protocols.
• VFD setup, tuning, and integration.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, P&IDs, and machine documentation.
• Strong analytical and root-cause problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on plant-floor presence; commitment to safe work around high voltages.

Mansioni

• Own PLC logic maintenance for Allen-Bradley ControlLogix/CompactLogix with Studio 5000.
• Design HMIs using ISA-101 principles for clarity and speed.
• Commission and diagnose VFDs and motor systems.
• Lead SCADA architecture, dashboards, and data integration.
• Define data models, tags, and reporting for operators and engineers.
• Configure PLC-SCADA communications and historian structures.
• Develop industrial networking with Ethernet/IP and managed switches.
• Drive automation upgrades and retrofits with vendor review and ROI.
• Support safety, change management, and cybersecurity practices.
