Job summary

Winthrop University’s Winthrop Region SBDC seeks an undergraduate student to assist in consulting projects and center operations. You will contribute to marketing, research, data analysis, and administration while supporting client sessions and seminars.

The role offers 12 hours per week at a pay rate of $15.00 per hour, with a remote work option; enrollment in Winthrop’s College of Business is required and confidentiality is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work in a team.
• Be enrolled in Winthrop’s College of Business.
• Accountability for client relationships, confidentiality, and COI issues.
• Self-motivated, flexible and innovative in consulting with diverse clients.
• Creative and comfortable with ambiguity.

• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Canva.

Responsibilities

• Marketing, website competitive analysis to understand a client’s business.
• Industry research to inform clients about environment and trends.
• Business data analysis to diagnose growth inhibitors.
• Provide administrative support, scheduling, seminars, emails, social media management.
• Direct clients to appropriate sources of business information and assistance.
